  Hezbollah vs Israel: the Makings of a Regional War? By David Starr   With all the mass murder and attempted genocide against Palestinians, Israel surprisingly is willing to use diplomacy in its dealings with Hezbollah, a well-equipped and highly-trained force in Lebanon.   In a  Reuters  report, Israel  has said it has plans to try and resolve its conflict  with Hezbollah, according to Israel’s national security advisor, Tzachi Hanegbi. But Israel has already done the damage in Gaza with its collective punishment of Palestinians. There were rumblings coming out of the fascist Israeli government about attacking Lebanon in another potential attempt to exercise collective punishment. Killing of civilians, and many of them, has been Israel’s goal all along.   Quoting  Reuters : “Iran-backed Hezbollah began attacking Israel from the north shortly after Palestinian Islamist group Hamas’ Oct. 7 assault on southern Israel, which sparked the war in Gaza.” This is a little misleading because R

  Scott Ritter Banned From Traveling for Giving His Opinion on the Russia-Ukraine conflict   By David Starr   To the U.S. establishment, former U.S. Marine officer and United Nations Weapons Inspector Scott Ritter is a discredited trouble-maker.    According to Eric London,  writing in  the  World Socialist Web Site , U.S. citizen Ritter was about to take a flight to Istanbul, Turkey and then fly to St. Petersburg, Russia on June 3rd to attend an economic forum as a guest speaker. However, he was forced to make a detour, being taken off the plane and having his passport revoked.   London writes that, “The decision by the State Department to confiscate Ritter’s passport is a flagrant violation of American law. US citizens possess a constitutional right to travel outside the country regardless of their political beliefs, pursuant to a 1964 decision  Apthecker v.   Pro-Zionist Supporters Salivating for the Firing of Briahna Joy Gray From The Hill   By David Starr   The antisemitic card was played once again by hardline pro-Israel supporters when Leftist Briahna Joy Gray was fired as a co-host of the show called  Rising , which is associated with  The Hill , which is owned by Nexstar, a center-right media company.   In one segment on  Rising/The Hill , Gray was interviewing an Israeli who has a sister that is one of hostages of Hamas. Yarden Gonen was the interviewee and while she was justifiably concerned for her sister, she apparently used the same talking points as the Israeli government constantly uses in condemning Hamas.   Trump is Now Officially a Felon   By David Starr   The verdict: “Trump is guilty on all 34 counts of falsifying business records in his hush money trial,”  according to   CNN . Trump now goes down in history as the first president or former president convicted of being a felon. So far.   At the rate it’s going, more politicians, as well as their corporate benefactors, may find themselves being branded as felons. But whether they go to trial could be another matter. Basically, the justice system is currently favoring the establishment, which means that there is an inevitability more scandals will surface with the possibility that justice will not be served. Or there would be a slap on the wrist. Whatever the case, those without institutional and/or corporate power do not get the same “royal” treatment as those in power.   The United States, as an empire is in decline, both in the foreign and domestic spheres.
