Overcoming the Sadistic and Cruel U.S. Embargo Against Cuba   By David Starr   Nowadays the United States is furthering its reputation as a morally bankrupt empire. Obvious proof of this is its maintaining the embargo that has caused hardship for Cuba. In an obsessed bout of insanity, U.S. politicians are adamant to continue imposing this 61-year Cold War relic without real justification.   According to those politicians, Cuba has a communist regime that has committed gross violations of human rights and wrecked the economy. While Cuba has had incidences of rights violations and inner inefficiencies, they pale in comparison to the horrendous effects of the embargo. Additionally, Cuba has had to cope with covert operations involving sabotage and attempted assassinations by the U.S.   Another aspect of this economic aggression is perhaps U.S. politicians have had an ego problem based on a superiority complex. Thus, to lift the embargo would, to them, be a sign of weakness. If true, add
The Political Inquisition of Rashida Tlaib By David Starr   Another example of the United States, as an empire, fully supporting Israel in its attempted genocide against Palestinians was decided with the censuring of Rep. Rashida Tlaib. Tlaib, a Palestinian-American, had the courage to call out Israel for its militaristic debacle in Gaza, as well the West Bank, and was branded an “antisemite” by a majority in the House of Representatives; both Republicans and Democrats. They came across as fascists, or more directly put, the equivalent of Nazis. They portrayed Palestinians in an ugly manner. In the bottom line, these Republicans see the Palestinians as inferior, like some of the Israeli politicians do.    Before going into the details about who the
United States’ Excuses for Israel’s War Crimes Are Inexcusable   By David Starr In the face of a horrible war between Israel and Hamas, civilians have paid the price, Israelis and especially Palestinians. Rather than support a logical and moral cessation of hostilities, the United States has been given Israel only a slap on the wrist for its attempted genocide, mainly in Gaza.     And, so, it went in late October when the United Nations struggled to approve the appropriate resolution coming from the Security Council. A resolution by Brazil that would condemn all violence against civilians, was vetoed by that “Beacon of Democracy.” The Brazil resolution had 12 votes for, two abstentions by Russia and Britain, and the veto by the U.S.   Russia proposed two amendments to the resolution: one which called for a “humanitarian ceasefire,” and the other condemning the heavy bombardment in Gaza, which took out hospitals and schools. But the proposals didn’t get enough votes for approval.   Th
