  The Russia-Ukraine Conflict: The Conflicting Reports of Various Sources on the Subject   By David Starr   Much has been reported on the Russia-Ukraine conflict, mainly in black and white terms. But there are times when shades of gray have been applied in relation to this tragedy.    Realistically, sides are taken on various issues by various sources. The author of this article is also not immune to taking sides ordinarily, but does show shades of gray and the black and white factors.   It is rare that the Western media quotes Vladimir Putin, getting his thoughts on the conflict. Further, the media mainly portrays the conflict as a fight between “good vs. evil.” Putin is no angel, possibly being an ultra-nationalist and probably being an anti-communist. Ideally, the Russian invasion of Ukraine was wrong.   The Unforgivable Menace of Israeli Apartheid: Israeli Settlers Impose Fascistic Intimidation on Palestinians   By David Starr   Even the slightest criticism of Israel and its ultra-nationalist policies would compel hardline supporters of Israel to whip out the antisemitic card. It is the go-to tactic to try and discourage people from expressing anything negative about Israel. Such is the denial of hardliners.   The Anti-Defamation League is one source supporting Israel that may be in denial. The ADL  published a paper  attempting to counter criticisms of Israel being a “Settler Colonialist Enterprise.” Its tone was sophisticated and provided intelligent examples of comparing empires with Israel.   United States Hypocrisy Toward the World is Another Way of Saying, ‘Don’t Do as We Do, Do as We Say’ By David Starr   In February 2023, the United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken briefly met Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and proceeded to give him a “moral” lecture on Russia’s decision to suspend its role in a nuclear arms treaty, and on Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. They were in India for the Group of 20 summit.   USA Today   quoted  Blinken who spoke at a news conference during the summit: “I told the foreign minister, ‘End this war of aggression. Engage in meaningful diplomacy that can produce a just and durable peace.’” This kind of naked hypocrisy can tend to baffle the mind.   More U.S. bases in the Philippines: More provocations Against China   By David Starr   In an act of provocative intimidation, the United States, as an empire, has set up an agreement with the Philippines government to establish yet more military bases in the Philippines. And the target is the People’s Republic of China. This has to be called for what it is: utter insanity.   There are plans to set up four more bases in the archipelago, in an effort to prepare for a potential military confrontation with China; that is, if China happens to “invade” Taiwan. It was established years ago by the U.S. and China that Taiwan is part of the latter nation.   U.S. Appeals to Fear and Hysteria About a Wayward balloon   By David Starr   While there have been plenty of news reports on the China balloon “scandal,” this article will present another view on it. Bottom line: because of this incident and many others, the U.S. as an empire is morally bankrupt.   As soon as the balloon was  publicized , the western media, especially the U.S. media, went into a feeding frenzy of negative propaganda. There were consistent reports highlighting the assumption that the Chinese employed a “spy” balloon to float over the continental United States to get information about U.S. military installations.   A Tragic Education: Nazi Homeschoolers Teach Their Children to Respect Hitler   By David Starr   Just when homeschooling children  couldn’t get any worse , there are a small group of Nazis in the United States, specifically Ohio, that have been teaching their children Nazi ideology and to admire Hitler since 2021. Researchers have brought this tragic story out into the open.    The Anonymous Comrades Collective, a group of anti-fascist researchers,  uncovered  the story and it spread to other sources, like the  Huffington Post, Vice News, People’s World , the Ohio State Education Department, and Ohio’s NAACP chapter.    An entity called the “Dissident Homeschool” network operates this repulsive program. It currently has 2,500 members and is supposedly growing. Children are exposed to the writings of Hitler, and there is the planning of lessons as well as the study of Nazi ideology.
