Could Israel’s Destructive Actions Mean Its Own Self-Destruction?   By David Starr   Israel has become more unpopular worldwide considering its criminal destruction of Gaza; and military aggression against its other neighbors.    Israel, therefore, could be setting itself up for a big fall. Its fascist government has proven time and again that it is willing to employ Nazi-like tactics against Palestinians. Its supporters, many times in fits of hysteria, have further tarnished its reputation.   A Pew Research Center  survey conducted  in March 2025, for example, showed that Israeli support for the taking of Gaza has decreased. Although 42% of Israelis favor its occupation of Gaza, compared to two percent, this “view has fallen 8 percentage points since last year, from 50%.” So, even though a majority of Israelis still support occupation, there is an increase of Israelis who at the least question it.   Still, the fascist government has a larg...
Is the U.S. Monetary Empire in its Death Throes?   By David Starr   As history has shown, and repeated, various empires have gone through a process of birth, ascendency, a “glorious” rise and peak, a decline, and a fall. Is the United States monetary empire any different? At the rate things are going in the USA and around the world, the answer is, no, it is repeating a process of previous empires.   Particularly after World War II, the USA reached new heights to become the leader of the “free” world. (Free for whom to do what?) The U.S. population enjoyed a decent standard of living, a degree of democracy, and more or less good standing worldwide, depending on what nation or bloc we’re talking about. There was, after all, the Cold War rivalry between the United States and the Soviet Union.   The Cold War supposedly ended with the official dissolving of the USSR in December 1991. The USA, however, not only did not dissolve, it picked up where it left off before...
MAGA Nuttery: An Exercise in Gross Ignorance   By David Starr   Rather than “gross ignorance,” one could use the term, “utter stupidity,” in the title of this article. But the former is also appropriate for MAGA cult followers. Either way, the accusations and excuses coming from the right deserve strong criticism.   AOL  published an  article originally  from the  Atlantic  magazine which goes into the virtual hopelessness of the rhetoric of hardline MAGA followers in worshipping Trump, their “god.”    Elaine Godfrey is the author of the article, and she writes, “Earlier this month [April], after it became clear that the Trump [regime] would not be facilitating the return of Kilmar Abrego Garcia from a Salvadoran mega-prison, I texted a close childhood friend. He’d voted for Donald Trump in each of the past three elections, and I asked for his evaluation. ‘Trump may be taking it too far, [b]ut then again, he’s a man of action and ...
