Jeffrey Sachs Rattles the U.S. Establishment By David Starr Jeffrey Sachs has the United States establishment pulling out hairs over his positions on the Venezuela-U.S. conflict, the Russia-Ukraine war, the Israel-Palestine war etc. Sachs has been direct, and correct, on these issues. Sachs is president of the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network (UNSDSN), and has served as a UNSDSN Advocate under Secretary General Antonio Guterres. Further, Sachs taught about 20 years as a Harvard University professor, and graduated from there, earning his B.A., M.A, and Ph.D. degrees. So, Sachs has a lot of intellectual prowess to back up his assertions. Sach’s views on Venezuela strongly defy the narrative of the U.S. establishment. The Author

In 1986 while living in Hawai'i, I acknowledged my interests in political and social issues. I became active, joining such groups as the Latin American & Caribbean Solidarity Association (LACASA), Hawai'i Union of Socialists (HUS), and Ka Lehui Hawai'i (The Nation of Hawai'i). I also created "Voices of Change," a publication which came out during the 1990s, as well as getting published in the Honolulu Weekly and Toward Freedom. Now Connecticut-based, I've published articles and commentary in "Reader Supported News," "The Daily Kos" and have been published in the "LA Progressive" and "Covert Action Magazine."

StarrNarrative - Introduction

This blog is called "StarrNarrative" for the following reasons. 1) It's a play on words for my last name. 2) Narrative is another word for story, report and chronicle. As the sub head indicates, it's observations, commentary and news from a Left perspective. Since Left/Progressive sources hardly (if at all) get published in the corporate media, this blog is another source to bring out some inconvenient truths that are virtually absent from the media; truths which may be belittled or offend. It's to get the public exposed to alternative information, a necessary endeavor.
