The Victims of ICE’s Crimes By David Starr A huge surge in the amount of protests have erupted in the United States (and worldwide as well). And the target is ICE, which itself has targeted immigrants and those protesting against it, and is known as the Trump regime’s Gestapo. The similarities to Nazi Germany are not that far-fetched. The victims are not the worst of the worst in criminal behavior. Instead, the worst of the worst are in ICE. The gross violations of U.S. law and the U.S. Constitution by ICE have been repeated over and over again. The many who have been deported, beaten and/or killed bear this out. And it took the deaths of Renee Good and Alex Pretti to cause the eruption nation-wide. Before that there were also other victims, mainly because of the racial profiling of black and brown persons. The Author

In 1986 while living in Hawai'i, I acknowledged my interests in political and social issues. I became active, joining such groups as the Latin American & Caribbean Solidarity Association (LACASA), Hawai'i Union of Socialists (HUS), and Ka Lehui Hawai'i (The Nation of Hawai'i). I also created "Voices of Change," a publication which came out during the 1990s, as well as getting published in the Honolulu Weekly and Toward Freedom. Now Connecticut-based, I've published articles and commentary in "Reader Supported News," "The Daily Kos" and have been published in the "LA Progressive" and "Covert Action Magazine."

StarrNarrative - Introduction

This blog is called "StarrNarrative" for the following reasons. 1) It's a play on words for my last name. 2) Narrative is another word for story, report and chronicle. As the sub head indicates, it's observations, commentary and news from a Left perspective. Since Left/Progressive sources hardly (if at all) get published in the corporate media, this blog is another source to bring out some inconvenient truths that are virtually absent from the media; truths which may be belittled or offend. It's to get the public exposed to alternative information, a necessary endeavor.
