  Orwellian Derangement Syndrome   By David Starr The title of this article does need an explanation. In George Orwell’s novel, “1984,” there is a society whose leaders and supporters use  doublespeak   to “inform”  the public. Meaning, one thing is said but is totally contradicted verbally into the opposite of what was initially said. This is characteristic of the right-wing in general (and with neoliberals as well). Donald Trump and his regime have been practicing doublespeak for years. Trump himself is infamous for doing this.  Thus, Trump and the right-wing have Orwellian Derangement Syndrome (ODS).
