  More U.S. bases in the Philippines: More provocations Against China   By David Starr   In an act of provocative intimidation, the United States, as an empire, has set up an agreement with the Philippines government to establish yet more military bases in the Philippines. And the target is the People’s Republic of China. This has to be called for what it is: utter insanity.   There are plans to set up four more bases in the archipelago, in an effort to prepare for a potential military confrontation with China; that is, if China happens to “invade” Taiwan. It was established years ago by the U.S. and China that Taiwan is part of the latter nation.   U.S. Appeals to Fear and Hysteria About a Wayward balloon   By David Starr   While there have been plenty of news reports on the China balloon “scandal,” this article will present another view on it. Bottom line: because of this incident and many others, the U.S. as an empire is morally bankrupt.   As soon as the balloon was  publicized , the western media, especially the U.S. media, went into a feeding frenzy of negative propaganda. There were consistent reports highlighting the assumption that the Chinese employed a “spy” balloon to float over the continental United States to get information about U.S. military installations.   A Tragic Education: Nazi Homeschoolers Teach Their Children to Respect Hitler   By David Starr   Just when homeschooling children  couldn’t get any worse , there are a small group of Nazis in the United States, specifically Ohio, that have been teaching their children Nazi ideology and to admire Hitler since 2021. Researchers have brought this tragic story out into the open.    The Anonymous Comrades Collective, a group of anti-fascist researchers,  uncovered  the story and it spread to other sources, like the  Huffington Post, Vice News, People’s World , the Ohio State Education Department, and Ohio’s NAACP chapter.    An entity called the “Dissident Homeschool” network operates this repulsive program.   Profiting Off of Death and Suffering: The Merging of the Arms Industry and the U.S. Government   By David Starr   The United States’ imperial foreign policy has been evident ever since day one; but especially starting with the Gilded Age and the arrogant doctrine of Manifest Destiny of the 1890s – early 1900s. The imperial “cause” continued through the decades leading up to today.    And today, the U.S. arms industry and the U.S. Congress have a reciprocal relationship.   The Madness of Marjorie Taylor Greene By David Starr   Plenty of epithets can describe Marjorie Taylor Greene, and with good reason. Someone who accuses Jews of using space lasers to start wild fires in California is mad and in the habit of saying ridiculous things.    And that ain’t all.  Greene called Washington, D.C. a “gulag.” If only she knew what a gulag really is, given the consequences of Stalinism. United States Hypocrisy Evident in its Violations of International Law By David Starr The U.S. South in particular has a problem regarding human rights. Historically, this problem has existed for about two centuries, when looking at overt racism (or slavery) and systemic racism (still evident today despite social reforms). The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) has not only documented these rights violations , it has provided documents to the United Nations Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (CERD). The CERD’s report, according to the SPLC, is a “serious rebuke and a wakeup call for the Biden administration.” The SPLC also stated that the report reveals the U.S. has a “longstanding failure of taking compliance with the treaty on racial discrimination seriously.” In a press release , the SPLC focused on the criminal legal system in the U.S. South, the information of which was submitted by the SPLC to the CERD, which stated that “the widespread, disparate harms...
