Right-wing Snowflakes: the Ultimate in Racism, Hypocrisy and Intolerance

Rather than confront the darker side of the United States and learn how the present has been shaped by past actions, there are those within the U.S. population who refuse, or are afraid of, learning about inconvenient truths. Instead, they dwell in the past, trying to revive the old United States in an effort to be exceptional, to be ultranationalists.

 

There are white folks who are offended by discussing inconvenient truths like racism, among other “taboo” subjects. They don’t want their children to feel uncomfortable about having an honest examination of the USA’s past and its connection to the present. 

 

One of the “taboo” subjects that fire up the right-wing is respecting the rights of the LGBT community. Based on religious fanatism, they are dead set in shutting out this demographic. If they are challenged for their intolerance, they pathetically try to play the victim. This is the obvious sign of a bully.

 

One such individual attempted to bash gender-neutral bathrooms. At the Kansas City International Airport, Morgonn McMichael went into such a bathroom and said on Twitter (X) that it was a “crazy” idea. Perhaps she fears that an LGBT person would jump out of the bathroom stall to molest a kid. Utter foolishness.

 

In an article published by Yahoo News, originally from the Huff Post, McMichael was lambasted by critics. Justice Horn, chair of the Kansas City LGBT Commission, wrote , “First, these are single stall, all gender bathrooms that allow for greater privacy. There are gender specific bathrooms down the hall too. Finally, don’t use my community to create fake outrage–it’s sad.”

 

He added that inclusive policies benefit “all of us.” 

 

McMichael, however, did not learn from the experience. She posted, “The left just loves protecting groomers and advocating for ‘all gender’ shared bathrooms to make lgbt people comfortable [oh, we can’t have that, can we?]…I won’t apologize.”

 

Joesphine Harvey, author of the article, wrote that, “Others pointed to a much creepier issue of filming in a restroom –  and the fact that she would have to use a gender-neutral bathroom in many other settings, including on a plane.” Further, “Morgonn, real quick, the bathrooms on the plane you flew on to get there, what gender were those?”

 

The right-wing was outraged by the remark of Texas Representative Jasmine Crockett, who called Texas Governor Greg Abbott “Governor Hot Wheels.” Abbott is in a wheelchair because of an accident, but got compensation. He deprived other people of getting compensation for being in accidents.

 

On a site called Threads, there were various comments posted, reacting to Crockett’s remark. The initial post said, “Jasmine Crockett making fun of a person’s physical disability. It’s gross. And it’s wrong. It’s wrong when Trump & Republicans do it. It’s wrong when Democrats do it. It’s wrong when ANYONE does it.”

 

Many commentors disagreed while some others agreed:

 

“Are the right-wing snowflakes mad. Wait it would be woke not to call someone that. They don’t want woke. This is not what woke would look like. So why are they crying.”

 

“It’s hilarious! Hot Wheels got his after his accident then worked to deny other victims of accidents from getting their due.”

 

“No sympathy for Abbott, but I don’t care for the remark.”

 

“It’s wrong every time.”

 

“Spare us your fabricated outrage.”

 

“Abbott won’t stand for these kinds of things.”

 

“At this point, I don’t care. We’ve got bigger things to worry about this is just another Republican distraction or faux outrage to get us to talk about this instead of what’s really important.”

 

“Gov. Hot Wheels and President clueless. Sounds like a new series sponsored by Adult Depends on the new Fox Action Network.”

 

“After Abbott sends busloads of undocumented to Chicago by lying to them. Nope, I’m all outta f**ks.”

 

“Fuck Abbott – he put razor wire on buoys to drown kids. He deserves it.”

There was an opinion piece in a publication called The Grio by journalist and commentator David Love. He starts off by writing, “The right always complains about liberal snowflakes, claiming that folks on the left are overly sensitive, easily triggered, entitled and intolerant towards other viewpoints. And yet, the latest news coming from the battlefront in the anti-critical race theory wars proves that folks on the right are the ultimate snowflakes.

 

“Perhaps the most extreme example of the anti-woke mob lives in Montgomery County, Texas. Where trustees of the Conroe Independent School District want to ban race-mixing posters that allegedly have left a white child feeling some type of way.

 

“Specifically, the school board is cracking down on all posters that depict racial inclusivity, diversity and Pride in a district whose student body is 60% children of color. A trustee claimed a white child was traumatized and had to switch classrooms after seeing a poster showing children of different colors holding hands.

 

“Rather than supplying the schools with smelling salts and fainting couches to help white children cope with the trauma of viewing pictures of interracial hand-holding, Conroe has decided to eliminate the source of the problem altogether. Just get rid of the melanin.”

 

Love concludes, “White MAGA America, you are raising a bunch of snowflakes. This is ironic given that you love to throw that word around. You are telling on yourselves, and we see you.”

 

Love is spot on with his opinions and it was worth quoting him at length.

 

Trump and the right-wing have failed in reverting back to the old United States. Additionally, corporate Democrats have largely failed in their strategy to “compromise” and cave to the Republicans for the sake of “bi-partisanship.” You can’t compromise with those who are hell-bent on imposing their warped agenda.

 

Unfortunately, the racism, hypocrisy and intolerance still exist. Time for a real change to effectively oppose the establishment.
