More Savagery From Trump and Netanyahu By David Starr By now it is crystal clear that everyone (except those in denial) sees the actions of Trump and Netanyahu as being savage. Sometimes those who claim to be the most civilized are prone to committing the most savagery. The lies to start a war with Iran bear this out. The rhetoric has been disgusting and pathetic . Trump declared that he is conducting his war to free the Iranian people, to implement regime change, with Iranians overthrowing the theocratic government. There are more lies from Trump and his regime that were published by Mondoweiss , asserting that they are hardly credible. While it is true that a theocracy is not actually democratic, most Iranians are not rushing to the barricades to topple the government. In fact, they have come out to support the government to stop and oppose the U.S. empire and its “spoiled child” Israel from continuing the car...

The Author

In 1986 while living in Hawai'i, I acknowledged my interests in political and social issues. I became active, joining such groups as the Latin American & Caribbean Solidarity Association (LACASA), Hawai'i Union of Socialists (HUS), and Ka Lehui Hawai'i (The Nation of Hawai'i). I also created "Voices of Change," a publication which came out during the 1990s, as well as getting published in the Honolulu Weekly and Toward Freedom. Now Connecticut-based, I've published articles and commentary in "Reader Supported News," "The Daily Kos" and have been published in the "LA Progressive" and "Covert Action Magazine."

StarrNarrative - Introduction

This blog is called "StarrNarrative" for the following reasons. 1) It's a play on words for my last name. 2) Narrative is another word for story, report and chronicle. As the sub head indicates, it's observations, commentary and news from a Left perspective. Since Left/Progressive sources hardly (if at all) get published in the corporate media, this blog is another source to bring out some inconvenient truths that are virtually absent from the media; truths which may be belittled or offend. It's to get the public exposed to alternative information, a necessary endeavor.
