Israel is More Unpopular in the United States Than Ever Before

It’s not news that the fascist nation of Israel is very unpopular worldwide. And there is an increase in opposing Israel within the United States, which has contradicted strong support for it in the past.

Largely, the U.S. population has grown fed up with Israel’s attempted genocide against Palestinians and its criminal actions against other neighbors in the Middle East. There was a segment on Secular Talk showing polls that indicate how Israel is unpopular in the U.S.

Israeli leaders and their supporters are intoxicated on myths of religious supremacy in the attempt to create a “Greater Israel.” Which in turn violates the sovereignty of neighboring countries. But Israel, for example, its fascist settlers, have tried to steal more land from Palestine and Lebanon. And it seems hellbent on going further in its barbaric objective.

Isreal’s leaders have not hesitated in using racist epithets against Palestinians and Arabs, in general. Labels like “wild beasts,” “subhuman,” and “animals” have been spewed forth by the Israeli leadership and its supporters.

Many in the U.S. are aware of Israel’s “Final Solution” in its quest to exterminate Palestinians. Ironically, this is similar to Nazi Germany’s goal of exterminating Jews during WWII. The similarities cannot be denied; although pro-Israel/Zionist supporters have repeatedly used the anti-Semitic card if there is any criticism against Israel.

Another irony is how many Jews have opposed Israel’s objectives. The number has increased, according to Unpacked, citing poll numbers from an Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research. “The poll found that nearly one-third (30%) of Jewish Americans described Israel’s military operations in Gaza as genocide. By contrast, nearly half (49%) said it did not constitute genocide, while 21% said they didn’t know enough to say.” 

Years ago, Jewish Americans were nearly in lock step in supporting Israel 100%. As the poll shows, that has declined. 

“Split along party lines, 45% of Jewish Democrats said Israel committed genocide, compared with 3% of Jewish Republicans. 

Overall, “Among Democrats, 52% said Israel was committing a genocide against Palestinians, while only 13% of Republicans agreed.” 

Anadolu Ajansi reported that, “Public opinion toward Israel in the US has grown increasingly negative, reflecting mounting concern over Israel’s military campaign in Gaza.” A Pew Research Center survey was cited, revealing that “42% of Americans viewed the Israeli people unfavorably, up from 28% in 2019. Favorable views of the Israeli government fell to 32% from 41% over the same period. Americans also expressed increasingly negative views of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.”

Netanyahu, like other officials in the Israeli government, are indeed war criminals. They have proven this time and time again. And the results of their actions to try and create a “Greater Israel” has shown that they are willing to exterminate anyone who opposes this perverted cause. Palestinians and others in the region have been the main targets. 

What used to be an ironclad dedication to “protect” Israel is now getting weaker in the U.S. Dr. James Zogby, president of the Arab American Institute, writes that, “Evidence keeps piling up that the long-claimed bi-partisan consensus on US support for Israel is dead.”

There are now divisions especially among Democrats regarding the opposition to Israel’s actions. Not only has the Democratic base been critical, but some democratic politicians are also taking that route.

There are, however, the neoliberal/centrist leftovers who still cling to fully supporting Israel. Representative Haley Stevens is one of them as she seeks to become a senator for the state of Michigan. Her competition is Dr. Abdul El-Sayed, who is determined to implement progressive policies. Both have had two debates in the Democratic primary race for senator.

The Young Turks had a segment on, going into detail about the race. The hosts said that Stevens got rocked during the debates. She apparently was no match for El-Sayed as the latter hammered away at Stevens’ connections to AIPAC and her worshipping of Israel.

Considering the way it’s been going, Israel will probably lose more support in the United States and, of course, worldwide. By continuing its “Greater Israel” project, it has sown the seeds of its own destruction.
